چکیده

Die Biosynthese von Calbistrin involviert eine ungewöhnliche dual-funktionelle Polyketid-Synthase, CalA, die beide Teile der Calbistrine synthetisiert. Produktdivergenz wird interessanterweise zwei trans-wirkenden Enzymen kontrolliert, einer Enoylreduktase CalK und C-Methyltransferase CalH, um Decalin- bzw. Polyenanteile zu erhalten. Veresterung beiden Polyketidteile durch Acyltransferase CalD katalysiert, wie Yudai Matsuda, Ikuro Abe et al. in ihrem Forschungsartikel auf S. 8933 berichten.
